Storage of sawn products The sawn timber that you deliver to us is stored in our central stockroom, where during the entire period of storage our qualified personnel, at regular intervals, checks the humidity of the timber in the single stacks. HOLTEG Srl guarantees maintenance of a constant humidity level for the timber during the entire storage period, as to the instructions received. A central control system allows the customer to check at any time the current stock levels.

Finger jointed products HOLTEG Srl has two modern plants for the production of finger jointed sawn products. The products are first scanned (with colour, x-ray and Laser systems) to check for the presence of any weak spots, such as knots, resin filled cavities, density variations etc. Any faults are then eliminated with a cross-cut saw while the selected parts pass to an automatic plant that bonds the single segments with finger joints, thus creating laths of adequate size. To guarantee constant quality during the entire production cycle, our engineers carry out numerous checks at various points along the production line. The product is then stored until the next phase of processing, or readied for shipping.

Processing The sawn products that you deliver to us and/or the products earlier finger jointed are processed in a planing line, as to customer instructions and transformed into finished or semi-finished products. The process phases include, according to requests, slotting, tongue and groove jointing and/or cutting. HOLTEG Srl guarantees the customer a tolerance on the requested final dimensions of ± 0.1mm. To ensure this, our personnel, before packaging, carries out continuous quality control. The goods produced can then be stored awaiting the next process or be readied for shipping.

Glueing HOLTEG Srl transforms a part of the finger jointed laths into wood derivatives. For this, the semi-finished products are inserted in a vertical press and glued with the use of adequate glues. The products from this process are subjected to constant quality control and selected as to customer requests for packaging. The goods produced are then readied for shipping.

Logistics and transport On request, HOLTEG Srl manages all logistic aspects as regards your orders. The products ready for shipping are marked as to transport needs, packaged and delivered to hauliers as to the shipping programme. HOLTEG Srl also takes care of shipping document issuing, as to the data communicated by the customer. The shipping store is managed by a central system so that the customer can check at any time the current stock levels of finished products.
